Pregnancy Updates

June 13, 2025

Now that I am into the second trimester, lots of things are changing ( thank goodness, for the better ) and I want to make note of all of the fun things that are changing.

  1. my bump is starting to show - it is still very little, and if you didn’t know me you might not be able to see it, but ( this might be too much information for some of you, but you’re on my blog so, sorry about that ) my uterus is already pretty forward facing, and is not invisible during my daily life, so baby is pretty close to the surface and pretty visible even though it is still pretty early

  2. my nausea has been much less - the whole first trimester was pretty miserable as far as nausea went. there were very few times that I actually threw up, but my body threatened it pretty much constantly

  3. none of my clothes fit - this goes along with number one, but all of the clothes that are any kind of structured, no longer can fit me comfortably. there are some pregnant people who are able to wear tighter clothes and it isn’t painful, but for me, it is so uncomfortable. plus, no one really cares what pants I am wearing, so why should I be uncomfortable?

  4. my body temperature has gone up - never have I ever been a warm blooded person, but I sure am now

I am so excited about all the changes that are happening. I was expecting there to be a little bit more frustration with my clothes not fitting or the fact that I cannot eat all the things that I am craving ( like cold cuts and corn dogs - not something I usually crave but am now because I cannot. I was really expecting sushi, but I don’t care; I just want a corndog ), but there is very little frustration, and a whole lot of excitement. I cannot wait for my belly to grow and be able to feel Baby to move around. I cannot wait to meet them and kiss their little squishy face. I am so looking forward to this next phase of life.
