Must Have Baby Things - from a first time mom

February 4, 2026

My sweet little one is just about 3 months old, which feels insane, it both feels like she has always been with us and that she was just born last week. But here are the things * so far * that I am using constantly and why I love them. The full list of links will be in my ShopMy.

Mabe Monarch Carrier

this thing is an absolute life saver. I have a couple other carriers that were hand me downs (absolutely the best thing ever having babies after loved ones so they can give you the things they loved to try out and use) and Ro was not a fan of any of them, and neither was my back. this one has these great, padded, shoulder straps that criss cross in the back and can be converted into a back-pack situation when she gets a little older. 10/10

Mockingbird Stroller ( with the bassinet attachment )

this thing is so smooth and so easy to get in and out of the car (so says my husband, I have yet to do it on my own) plus it is so chic and looks and acts so much like the really expensive strollers right now. this is not to say this little guy is cheap, just much less expensive than its competitors

Fisher Price Calming Hedgehog

now, this is silly, buy Ro loves this thing. she is not old enough to be able to push the button on her own, but she is old enough to know that the vibrations and sounds are soothing

Burts Bees Baby PJ Sets

we are a huge fan of their pjs even for us - they are stretchy enough that they are comfy, but also cotton-y enough that Ro isn’t slipping out of our hands while we are holding her

Boppy Uplift

the perfect, compact, easy to use, nursing pillow

Honorable mentions(I will link what we have in my ShopMy):

  • a good changing table and pad

  • a good bassinet

  • a good bathtub insert for newborns

  • burp cloths galore

  • an insulated water bottle

  • silverettes

  • a hand pump

  • good nursing bras ( I don’t have these, send recs )
